This past weekend has been so eventful, busy, fun, and stressful all at the same time, but I wouldn’t change it for the world. Wednesday nights we have Wave Group (which is a cool name for bible study group). We usually meet at one of the couple’s house but this week one of the gals in our Wave Group invited us all over to a studio in downtown Columbus on High Street she had been renting out. We ended our night with a fun little photo shoot.
Happy Memorial Day! I hope you are all enjoying your holiday weekend! We have been busy, busy, busy getting ready to depart on our trip. We have been trying to spend time with family and friends every spare chance we get in between packing up our apartment, moving in to the camper, and Michael finishing up his remodeling jobs.
Michael and I have only known these amazing people for a short while, but I must say that I am truly going to miss them while we embark on our new adventure. There is never a dull moment with them and they make my heart smile. Photos are courtesy of Jacobus Photography. They are amazing photographers, I should know because they were our wedding photographers and our photos came out beautiful!
Friday we spent the evening riding bicycles around the neighborhood, chatting with friends from church, and eating pizza with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law. Saturday was a day full of cleaning and working but in the afternoon we were able to watch my little sister play a softball game and have a cookout with my parents. Sunday (today) we were able to take one of our nephews to the Columbus Zoo! We had a lot of fun and were able to see the brand new giraffes (which is my absolute favorite animal ever)!
Being in the new part of the zoo reminded me of our dreams to someday go to Africa and partake in a mission trip! I hope it comes sooner rather than later but for now I will try to remain patient 🙂 This afternoon we had a family cookout with Michael’s side of the family and it was definitely nice to see everyone and relax in the warm, summer weather.
Tomorrow during the day I will be packing up our apartment and moving things into the pop-up camper! Tomorrow afternoon we get to go to a Columbus Clipper’s baseball game with our Wave Group and I couldn’t be more excited! And before I forget, my new hiking boots came in the mail the other day!
I’m so excited! I can’t wait to break them in and go hiking! It’s so close I can almost taste it! Exactly 1 week left now until we depart! Niagara Falls, Ontario here we come!!!
